Thanks for that great trip down memory lane... pins that odd 7X to sometime between Lincoln and Nixon. Clearly they were a full service shop capable of doing the ventilation holes. Turning up the mode edge to a homburg curl seems tricky to me, but they probably did that too, I expect.

Just received this fine hat, did a title search, and thought I'd dust off this thread.

Felt quality is quite nice on this one: easy to manipulate, but not too stiff and thick. A side-by-side comparison with my brown Borsalino Torino leaves me wondering which, if either, is the better hat. [huh]

Thanks for looking. (Where else would I share my hat-thusiasm?) :)
