I have been reading about how 6 inch heels are the rage.
Someone I knew didn't ovulate for 6 months due to wearing heels the doctor stated as it tilts the uterus not allowing it. They went on to have 4 children after they quit wearing high heels.
Anyone had this experience or heard of this? or any comments?
Guess not a problem for those not wanting to get pregnant but could be for those who are trying. I am also reading many foot problems and surgery from high heels.

My feet are so small, if I tried to put on 6 inch heels it would be like wearing toe shoes around. No thanks! How crazy!

The Super-tall shoes, they are over

...says Manolo the Shoeblogger:

This end of the super-tall shoes arrives none to soon for the Manolo who has grown weary of this excess. Indeed, the persistence of the tall platforms has come as the surprise to the Manolo who was predicting the demise of the platform trend last year (although, in the Manolo’s favor, what we are seeing here are stiletto heeled shoes with the hidden platform, which are different from the sort of chunky platforms that were being seen last year.)

Now that's just crazy! 6 inch heels? I can barely wear 3 inches!

The woman you knew who didn't ovulate -- was she wearing super high heels (I would think 4+ inches qualifies as that) or average high heels? I know heels mess up your feet and alignment, but I had no idea they could affect your ovulation! Crazy.

This sounded kind of bogus to me, but I looked it up and yes, wearing very high heels does tip the pelvis forward unnaturally, leading to a condition called visceroptosis. It puts pressure on the internal organs, and that, I would assume, could cause ovulation trouble in some women.
So, I was thinking, when teenage ballet dancers stop menstruating, could it be because they dance on point, and not just because they excercise excessively and keep themselves super thin?

6" heels! 4" is my limit and I teeter around like I'm drunk in those!

I've never heard the bit about ovulation problems, interesting.

No, because they are not on their toes all the time. When I was involved in dance I had no problems having periods other than menorrhagia and dysmenorrhea. Excessive bleeding and pain.
Also that would not explain why teenage athletes stop menstruating.

I can barely wear 2"!!

Heels can create some weird body manifestations. High heels (4" over) can create a bigger butt. So, for the ladies wanting a plumper silhouette, wear your heels!

Does it really make your butt bigger, or it just looks bigger as it is sticking out more? That is one of the sexy things about them ...

wow.. that is interesting!!!! I guess the exact height of a shoe that tilts your pelvis must be individual from person to person, but I am sure there is a maximum.. I love my high heels, but wear mostly flats because of my workplace, so when the weekend comes I am in my heels!
