Opinions on the price of this 40/50s French leather jacket.
This jacket is borderline going by the meausrents of wether it would fit me or not, so if I buy it I may have to pass it on and would like to get my money back or not lose too much
I'm not conversant on the values of non US jackets.
On some spots the leather has worn beyond the stage where any leather treatments would be off any use, but i have had jackets in a worse state that have last years before holes appeared in the worn areas, but as always hard to tell without be able to see the jacket to see how thin the worn areas are.
Lining is intact

French size on the jacket label is 38 US.
US$ 257

I would say it's worth it for its rarity and even better if it fits you and you like the jacket.French jackets of the Barnstormer/Canadian style seem to be on offer from £90 up to £150 in the UK.FWIW I have never seen one of these before.I think you would be lucky to get your money back though if it is not for you especially when costs of shipping etc are taken into account.

It’s very cool. My ignorance of the brand and hide would make it cost prohibitive were it my size. I don’t think it’s a bad deal tbh but I just don’t have the experience with vintage leather from France to know anything about the quality. All that aside it’s a great design, superb collar and shows some really nice patina.

I never factor in shipping, I always write it off
I have just never seen anything like that before, it's a really unique pocket style, just don't want that to get in the way of my better judgement on the cost, but saying that when would I ever find another one.
Ah well, decisions, decisions, stamp collecting might be less stressful than jackets

Could also get this French jacket from the same person, it's around the same size, which might make the price of both combined a bit better
The zip and lining are fine, it needs some seams stitched which would not be lot to get done, and there is one hole but not too big.
US$60
$317 for both jackets

The design of the second jacket doesn’t grab me, probably because of the elastic waist. Now the first jacket—that’s cool!
