I bought a new jacket off ebay. It was advertised as a Goatskin modern style A2, but after further inspection it turns out is was an old lambskin. Though I could have returned it I decided to keep it. According to US Wings, when I contacted them, it's probably 15+ years old and has almost never been worn.

My Fox Creek jacket will remain my main leather jacket and I also have a USW Indy jacket from ten about years ago, I hope this one will at least provide me decent coverage on my commute from No Virginia to DC some fall/winter days. It certainly isn't thin leather, but I had hoped to have another abrasion resistant jacket for the abuse of regular use.

I need to find replacements for my 30's horsehide jacket, which is reaching its limit of use without falling apart. My grandfather or I wore it nearly daily from the '30's until the 90's.

By the way I should have noted that the seller agreed to reduce the price of the jacket once I found out it was indeed lambskin. To the point I thought it was worth keeping. It is also a very nice color of medium brown with a subtle hint of red in it. USW even had a hard time figuring out if it was lamb or one of their old kangaroo jackets. But, in the end the think it is lamb. Even if not as tough as originally thought hopefully it will be adequate for my commutes to DC, as brutal as they may be. LOL.

No worry there as I sold my last bike. I just can't find any enjoyment in riding in the traffic of northern Virginia. I raced from the time I was 5 until I was in my late 20's in the dirt. And rode on the street for many year between and after. But, it lost its luster up here. My Fox Creek is now but a reminder of the good times. Too much traffic up here. I bought sports sedan instead. I also no longer fly myself anywhere, my previous profession, so I am pretty much neutered, except for my hunting trips a few times a year.

It is no fun even to drive a car in N Virginia traffic, much less a bike, and similar to traffic in the DFW metroplex with a population of almost 7 million.
