I ran across a few of these ads while researching some family history.

the first one suggests that the ad is directed only at people called Rogers. Clarified by the second ad.

Found this Stratoliner ad in the Olean Times Herald in New York April 13 1942.

A $25 hat in 1946????

That was more than the price of a suit, from what my grandfather used to tell me. He said a good hat in the late 40s and early 50s was less than $5. What hat could have sold for as high as $25 back then?

But putting it in perspective the average worker probably only made about 30 bucks a week back then.
