).. I'd just like to see some of those old fedora ads I remember from various mags.. I was wondering if somebody here might point me in the right direction.

Go to images.google.com and try searching on "hat line art" or "vintage hat" or "retro hat" or "fedora" and see if that helps. "Retro advertising" or "Vintage advertising" might yield some possibilities as well.
