Here is a film that should interest some. "Nordwand", a German production about the first "serious" try of the north face of the Eiger in 1936. Of course it is a foreign language film and it is subtitle in English on the DVD.
I stumbled across this one recently and I was wondering if anyone here has caught this film and what they thought of it. If you have I would be interested in if this is one to add to a DVD collection or not.

Thanks for looking and any comments are welcome.
Cheers!

Based on a true story, North Face is a suspenseful adventure film about a competition to climb the most dangerous rock face in the Alps. Set in 1936, as Nazi propaganda urges the nation's Alpinists to conquer the unclimbed north face of the Swiss massif - the Eiger - two reluctant German climbers begin their daring ascent.
