New/Old Schott

For those who care, looks like Schott is bringing this back. They had it for a short while several months ago I believe. And now here it is again. It really is a beautiful design. I can’t think of anything negative to say about it....other than at that price point why not go Aero and have the ability to do some customizing to it? Exactly. Which makes it painful. Because this is probably one of their best designed jackets ever. Period. And being made out of a quality leather like Horween is icing on the cake in terms of quality/design. But then that price tag is just a low blow ha. I’m sure it will sell out because of the fashionistas and the beer gut bikers who don’t know any better. And hey if they got the money then all the power to them, buy what you want. But meanwhile we’re all here going what the hell man?

I like the idea being all blacked out but it does make the zips look like they are plastic...nothing beats dull, worn in black CXL and a patina'd brass zipper. Thing o' beauty.

I like the design of that one a lot to but I personally am not a fan of distressed or “vintaged” leather. I like either buying a truly vintage piece or putting in the work myself. But as far as the design it’s pretty cool.

Although well executed this is not really a pattern I like - although I have a soft spot for the Aero Bootlegger which is similar, but to my tastes much nicer for the price. A Schott jacket that costs this much seems absurd. And the black hardware bugs me.

Agreed. That’s what I’m thinking. I think it’s a great design. And I personally don’t mind black hardware. It’s the price that ruins it. Just so much more you can do with that money through places like Aero.

The brown one has brass hardware, and I think is a better color than the black, at least in their photos.
