Many times, when searching the internet for an answer to a question, I was inevitably directed to The Fedora Lounge. So, also as inevitable, I joined. Still looking around, but liking what I see.

Cheers.

Welcome to the Fedora Lounge.

Hey all! Not really a newbie to workwear/vintage/heritage clothing but I am new to the site, got introduced through a podcast (almostvintagestyle on denim and boots). Here to peruse leather jacket info, already so tempted by a bunch on the classifieds forum.

Well, I'm not new (by any definition), but can't get into the account that I created way back in '10 or thereabouts. And I figured I'd start fresh, what with the new decade and all.

Interests? Pre-code film, vintage spectacles, OTR, forgotten character actors, old-tyme paper ephemera, pre-war California pottery, and gracious living in all its permutations.

Oh, and happy new year!

Hello again . I joined this forum first time around in 2006! Posted for several years as Olive Bleu from Halifax , Nova Scotia . For the life of me can’t get back into that account . So much has happened since then ! I have moved way across the sea to Scotland where I now reside . I have also gone back quite a few centuries as my new husband is into 16th century re-enactment - and I will join him in this . However , This is not the most practical attire to go about your daily life in .. and I still love the 40’s .I have missed this gang terribly over the past few years as I have been absent from all this fun dealing with other matters of life . I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and catching up . I am thrilled to see so many familiar faces are still here ! ❤️

I have come across the Fedora Lounge over the years when research clothing items. I enjoy the opinionated views and passion of the forum members. I really enjoy the wear and fit experiences and pictures by the forum members ... you are all a great resource for a varied array of opinions and a wonderful resource.

I enjoy artisan and finally crafted items as well as supporting independent shops and makers ... I do not enjoy others defining what is a value to me. I enjoy fine men's tailoring and have purchased items from many wonderful makers from France, Italy, and Japan.

I believe wearing camo outside of serving active duty is a crime against fashion and sporting unit patches on your apparel that you did not serve in is beyond distasteful.

I am a former Marine, an electrical engineer specializing in electro-magnetics, I am at the helm of a company I started over a decade ago, I enjoy volunteering on college engineering boards and I am here because I enjoy following men's fashion.

Hi! Decided to finally make an account here, as I'm looking for a nice leather jacket. I'm not really into vintage clothing or fashion in general, but after wearing a friend's Vanson Enfield I've fallen in love with with it and decided it's time to take the search for one seriously. I've always liked leather products, I'd like to get some good quality leather gloves and boots as well. Oh no... it's starting... Thankfully I'm not new to collecting hobbies, so I know how to do research and look for items I want - as well as mentally preparing for the cost of obtaining them.

I was wondering: is there any overlap here with other collecting hobbies? I've seen some talk about watches on here so I was thinking there might be. I am into EDC gear myself, such as knives, flashlights and other tools.

Hi there

I'm new to the Fedora Lounge - and I really like all the information that is accessible here!
I always loved well made clothes and objects. By hitting on the site I've learned there is still a lot to discover :)

Was looking for a new leather jacket and got obsessed with an Aero Sheene - now collecting the funds...

As I am Swiss I struggle a bit with English, but will do my best to communicate clearly. In real life I love Espresso and the machines behind that magic drink, love cooking and am also a bit obsessed with kitchen knives...

I think you will be pleased with the Sheene. It's a timeless design that could have been worn in the 30s as well as today. I have one, and it is the favorite of my leather jackets. Of course my vintage Pea Coats remain the top dogs in my closet.

Welcome to the Lounge.

Thank you Peacoat. I already have a Highwayman from Aero. As I lost some weight, it's a bit too large now. And the Sheene has a pattern I prefer, it's less boxy than the HWM. I can't see your image on my screen, is this a fault of mine?

Hello all,

I've been lurking around this place off and on for a long time. It's been my go to place any time I was researching anything related to the '30's or '40's. There's so much good information and experience to be found here. Anyways, I figured it was about time for me to join. Thanks for having me!
Cheers!
