Over the last year I have collected hats and spent more money than I care to admit to. I have Vintage Borsalino's. Pocket Borsalinos, New Borsalino's, New Stetsons, a Muelbauer, an Art Fawcett, and others. Love them all. But then the weather got really cold and my ears were freezing. I looked all over for ear muffs that would work with a hat. Found some but they were awkward. Then I saw this Pieter by Bailey with fold out ear covers. It was wool..... none of my others are wool.... I have stayed away from that and stayed with rabbit or a a beaver or two. And it was 1/4 to 1/2 what any of the other hats were. How could it be any good.
Well..... it s great. Its warmer than the other hats. The built in ear muffs work great. The brim is a bit shorter than I like.... but I do like the look of this one. I have been in heavy rains and some snow. It still have perfect shape and looks new. Its LiteFelt and is water proofed. And its Packable. !!!!
it will be my main hat till it gets back into the 50's again. Temperature not the era.
