I am looking for a selvedge denim, fitted, work shirt that’s non-western. One that can be worn both tucked and untucked and has great fade potential. Suggestion?

I would suggest that you look at Gustin.
I like their workshirts. Matter of fact, it's the only product that I will buy from them (pants sizing is extremely unreliable).
The workshirts are cut trim. I usually take my regular size, large, and go up to extra large slim.
If you're a thin guy, regular sizing should be OK.
They always have several campaigns going, only down side is that you will have to wait for your item to be produced.
this one looks promising:

If you like heavy/medium-heavy top quality selvedge denim try jap brands like Samurai, Studio d'Artisan, Sugar cane and the likes....they all have selvedge denim shirts in collections, some of them have both styles, western and workwear.... If you prefer light denim, stay away from japanese

Tell them.
It's simple....denim fabric is a diagonal one, in english technical terminology is a "twill" so you need to see 45 degrees lines in the fabric. With chambray you have a "simple weave structure" fabric, which presents the classic cross between vertical/horizontal lines.... I may also add that the "selvedge" is pretty typical of twill fabrics: it's the "self ending edge" (aka selvedge) of the fabric which otherwise wouldn't stay together

Here's what's simple: https://stagprovisions.com/collecti...gene-willie-l-s-earl-selvage-denim-shirt-fw20, the part where it says imogene -willie earl "selvedge denim" shirt. I don't need to see anything. I read the OP and had recently seen the Stag listing. Not a shirt I was interested in but I liked the looks and looked no further seeking out that classic cross between vertical/horizontal lines...., I just forwarded it to the OP. You should contact imoge-willie about their mistake.

Ha ha ha ha...it's ok. You are right, people don't need to be specific... Let's enjoy the shirt and that's all. My fault, I am too deep in my obsession/profession. Have a good day
