So, I ask around about antique shops, etc. in the SE Ohio area. Well, a co-worker recommended a shop that was an easy walk from my office. I tootled on down there over lunch just about an hour ago and found a bargin of the day!
A Dobbs Navy Blue (to paraphrase the Duke of Windsor, it looks blacker than black in the right light) "Sedate" whose color is properly "Saville" It's stained and a bit dusty, but nothing a little TLC will not fix right up. This really is a beautiful hat.
I plan on stretching it a little bit, maybe tonight. I will steam it, then wear it for a bit, hopefully that will do the trick as it is just a smidgen too small for me. Price? One Al Hamilton. Can't beat that!
