Selling a lovely original WW2 RAF Officer's greatcoat made by Austin Reed. Has the name and date (1942) of the Officer written on the label. Epaulettes have the rank insignia attached, all original KC buttons are intact as is the belt. I found 2 original VR collar insignias (one was broken) in a pocket and attached one to the right lapel as there was a small moth hole there. The coat is in nice condition, there are traces of moth damage (mostly nibbles not holes) but these are old and not worsening, I have stored with cedar balls after airing it in sunshine which would get rid of any of the pests for sure. The coat is in a rare large size, I wear a 42 chest and it is slightly large so would estimate it for a 42/44 chest. This is a true WW2 RAF Greatcoat and not the post-war ones often passed off as wartime on eBay! UK postage £10.00....overseas would be VERY expensive due to the size and weight.
Asking £150 ono
