It is still quite cold in Ohio, but that doesn't stop thoughts of warm weather, Hawaiian shirts, and Panama Hats.
I got this one a few months ago - just in time to go into storage, awaiting appropriate weather. But soon, we'll all be in our straws. I'll be glad to wear this one out and about at last!
It took a lot of effort for Art to fit my oddly shaped head. I think he was a bit stunned at the extra-extra long oval shape my skull has. I asked for something very 1940's, and much like one Canadave showed us awhile back, with the magical Fawcett ribbon treatment, and of course, he overdelivered. The ribbon has been seen here before on other hats. I'm pleased beyond words to have this beautiful bit of it on my own hat. The sweatband is perfed with my initials and holes for a bit of air. Though it isn't (and I did not want) the tightest fino-fino weave one can buy, it is, indeed, one very sweet hat!
Thanks Art, for making up something I can wear with pride.
