Here are my 2 new jackets from Aero.
M422a and Anj-4
The M422a is light weight.
The Anj-4 is heavy like a stone !!!
The fur is amazing.
What do you think about the sleeves length on the M422a. I have made a custom one with Knits of the A2. In my mind the sleeves are too short. I'm fed up with my long arms. I have ordered sleeves 1/2 inches longer than usual and it seems to be not enough....

Hi!
Nice jackets!
What color is the mutton on the M442a collar? It looks too pale to be the 'golden', but maybe it's just the lighting in the photo?

Both look fantastic! You have the same problem I have with loooong arms, and I need a minimum sleeve length of 27" for any jacket to "feel" right. When I was on active duty in the USN during the late 60's, my USN G-1 sleeves "felt" short but was explained to me at the time the G-1, and likely all USN flight jackets, were designed to be worn with glooves while in the cockpit.

Thanks Fanch. And do you think the sleeves are too short on mine ?

No, the sleeves don't look too short, although for me it is more about feel rather than look. As I recall, Ken prefers the sleeves on most jackets to just cover the wrist, whereas I prefer my sleeves to extend ~ halfway between by wrist and thumb knuckle. I suspect Ken would say your sleeves are just right and mine at least an inch too long. As I was a teen growing up, I was always conscious of "stork arms" with my 35" shirt sleeves, and I now wear a 16 X 37 shirt.

That's exactly what I did too, thinking I needed a XL, primarily for sleeve length, but really needed a large/long jacket, actually a 42L.

Looking at the pics of the two jackets, the wrist knits of the US Authentic G-1 appear 1-2 inches longer than the 422-A to account for the difference. It is my understanding that US Authentic G-1 jackets are sized somewhat longer than others? I would tend to leave well enough alone, but I suspect that your perception of short sleeves on the 422-A is bothering you as my perception of short sleeves on my USN issued G-1 bothered me at the time. You could always have longer wrist knits replace current knits that should be a simple function. I will say the guy who gave me my G-1 told me it was a correct fit and to be happy with it. I give you the same advice! :D

I've been looking at that ANJ-4 for a long time but resisted temptation up to now. Now that you've returned it, I'm going to try it. I do have the same problem with long arms but if it fits, I'm going to have to sell a few jackets - they're getting a bit out of hand! The B-3 looks great btw.

Both are fine in their own right: looking at the arm you're holding your camera with, the knits have not ridden up on either of them, which suggests they are just the right length.

Look fine to me too. I'm very tempted by the idea of an ANJ4, though I'll hve to clear out a lot of stuff first, and it's not the highest priority (already got a B3 and an Irivn, butg still I really want a Redskin B3, and an ANJ4, and a CC Irvin, and..... ).

Buying sheepskin jackets in the summer does at least mean there's something to look forward to when the cold returns!
