Besides the Big Lebowski (which I refuse to even estimate how many times I've seen it) Mike Myers was never funnier than in this gem... "Dad, how can you hate...the Colonel!"

Original? Airplane...
Modified? Teenage Strangler dubbed by Mystery Science 3000....I almost pee myself watching that.

I have a fond memory of my stone-faced father laughing uproariously out loud in the scene in the Ealing Studio's comedy Whisky Galore where George Campbell, (Gordon Jackson), finally rebels against his strict Scots mother. He himself had a strict Scots mother.

"It's A Gift" with W. C. Fields.

"What's the matter pop, don'cha love me?"

"Awfully strange the receiving hospital calling *you* at this time of night."

"Capital L, small a, Capital F, small o, small n, small g."

"If you and your friend wish to exchange ribald stories, do it downstairs."

"Ipecac or syrup of squill?"

"I wouldn't ride across the country with *that man* for a million dollars."

"You sit there like a stone image while he insults us!"

"It's a WEED!"

Still the funniest talkie ever made.

Every comedy Preston Sturges ever made, all of Buster Keaton's silents, the vast majority of Harold Lloyd's movies, any number of Lubitsch pictures, the first seven Marx Bros movies (and the later ones have their moments).

I should include what I consider Buster Keaton's best: Sherlock Jr. I saw it first at the Silent Movie Theater in L.A (on Fairfax) Brilliant!!
