I came across this site while browsing : http://www.movieleatherjacket.com/categories/Leather-Jackets/
Their offer looks interesting and their prices are low... perhaps too low to be real.
Does any of the loungers tried these jackets?
I would like to read any opinions before throwing my money away.
The first drawback I found is the lack of original pictures of the items for sale, they only show a couple of screenshots from films. Second could be the price, which, as I said, seems a bit under the usual market prices for good leather items, but not impossible though.

Any experience with them will be appreciated.
Thank you all.

Here ist a link to the Hall of Shame on the Filmjackets forum.

Personaly I wouldn't buy from a seller who steals his pictures all over the net and does not show the actual product sold.

Me neither.... but jinkies, I just read that thread in your link.... in a thread warning people about unethical companies there are people looking at them and thinking out loud I might buy one of those!. I can feel the OP's frustration there.... Seems some people really will buy any old rubbish if they think they're getting a cheap deal. :eusa_doh:

Hilarious, isn't it?
"This is a slimy outfit using stolen advertising. You'd have to be nuts to trust them".

"Yeah, but what great prices!"

:frusty:

I wonder if he'd like to buy a bridge too.....

From Rick's response, I think he feels the same about the reaction of some to his warning: "Obviously, this is a double-edged sword."

It's like that old Jewish joke: Two women in restaurant. One pipes up: "This food is terrible!", the second replies: "Yes, and such small portions!" lol

I thought Rick's reply was priceless.

I was trying to remember that joke to post it here. You beat me to it.

Not that it really matters, but I cut my teeth in the jacket game on filmjackets and have interacted personally with most of the people on that thread. I assume those comments are in response to CRB's comments. I've interacted with him on a number of transactions to the point where I would consider him a friend (despite having never met and living a half-world apart... the joys of the interweb). I can assure you that his comments were in jest and he's actually quite knowledgeable in the wide world of outerwear.

Normally I wouldn't have bothered commenting, but I do have a lot of respect for him and some of the more senior member of the filmjackets crew. Different tastes than around here perhaps, but that's what makes the world interesting.

Ok. Keeping in mind I have no idea who CRB is other than his reading his posts on the linked thread in discussion....(I've been a member of TFJF for several years now. Haven't posted much recently.
Haven't had any interaction with CRB, so I don't know him.
Have had some with Rick. I've found him very helpful and informative.)

If CRB asked in jest, great.
Judging by his reply, Rick didn't seem to think so, and I didn't get that impression.
If he was serious, then I still have that bridge to sell.
Either way, I still think Rick's reply was priceless.

No worries... the only reason that I felt compelled to comply is that the comments were taken out of context of the personality developed within the forum. The closest equivalent that I can give is that it would be like one of the more ardent Aero supporters making a sarcastic comment about Alexander and having that comment referenced on another forum.

Rick's a great guy... I've bought a couple of jackets from him... but he can be very serious from time to time... while still posting what I agree is a priceless response. All part of the challenge of parsing posts between forums.

I would agree that the bottom line is don't buy from this site.

Thank you for all the inputs. I didn't know about this vendor and the information from the "Hall of Shame" has been very clarifier. This guys are really sloppy (is that the correct adjective?)
I'll stay away from them.
