More cops in hats

Hello,

Here in Catalonia, Mossos d'Esquadra are the law enforcement force. The name is the traditional one, dating from the XVIII cent. This is where I work, incidentally, and I know I'm not the first cop here at the Lounge...

Now to the point: we have a Dress Squad, that provides a contingent for special occasions: government holidays and celebrations, funerals, etc. Its volunteer members are full time policemen, who work in whatever the department, but are called for the special events as need arises. What they wear is a XIX century-like attire, which includes a felt top hat (or round hat). It is not exactly a reenactment uniform, because it mixes items from various times: the top hat, a match cord, a bolt action rifle, straw sandals...

Definitely a nice uniform. I don´t know why, but reminded me slovakian president´s guard of honour...
