Moon Over Tokyo - Stetsons from Japan

So, I came across an odd stingy brim fedora made by Stetson in Japan, looks like 1940s (or 50s).

What is odd about it, is that the is a double sweatband. A cloth one that has an edge wrapped over a leather one.

Also, the "Stetson Premier" stamp in the leather seems to have been stamped into the leather through the cloth and while the cloth was on it because the stamp seems to have been embossed into the cloth, too.

Either that or over time the cloth just conformed to the embossing? Maybe??

Anyway, has anyone seen one like this?

Just bought a Knox fedora from a charity shop. Can anyone give me more info about it?

Morning Gents I just bought a vintage Knox New York blue fedora from a charity shop. Is anyone an expert in knox hats and can give me more info on it? I'm guessing its old due to the label and size (56). Also says made in Japan under license with the codes KMC & 390. Any help would be awesome...

The German license thread has at least on with a similar tag. Nothing on the double sweat style.

Stetson Hats produced for or in Gemany. The Quality of the German Stetsons is not always clear. Sometimes is the Royal Stetson with a low class felt, then you can find a Royal with a very high Quality felt. Why?
