There is a new Norwegian movie out: Max Manus - it tells the true story of one of Norways most courageous resistancemembers during the occupation in WWII.

They were filming this in Norway when we were last living there. There were quite a number of news items on the telly for it as (IIRC) they closed down a large section of central Oslo to turn it into 1940s occupied Norway.

I just finished watching this last night. It's almost as if they used every traditional sweater from the Devold catalog in the movie. Great film though. Everything you want from a good WWII movie.

Oh, I was an extra in that film! You should have been on location. Karl Johan (the main street of Oslo City) was looking exactly like it did in the 40s, which was amazing! Not so amazing was the Nazi flag on the Parliament..
But we all got dressed up by stylists and I really felt like a 40s gal. Good memories.
