Max Manus - Man of War

I know, I know it sounds like a really cheap made for TV piece but actually it's a blindingly good biopic about a Norwegian war hero. The production values are as good as if not better than the Private Ryans etc and there are plenty of terrific forties outfits, leather jackets, pullovers, norwegian style. Can't praise this film enough. Script is bloody good, too. It's out now on DVD and well worth a look. The art department has gone to huge trouble to make sure that everything looks authentic - and it works!!
