Ah, my quivering fingers make it tough to type. The color was what I was hoping for and the condition was great. As is often the case, it’s a bit on the tight side so I’ll give it just a gentle bump up with a stretcher. The felt is great and the hat fits into a niche that needed to be filled. As you can see, I’m doing great at reducing my collection.

Thanks, Mike. It didn’t come cheap, but it’s just what I was looking for. In the next life the most common vintage hat size better be 7 3/4. That’s how Karma works, right?

Thank you. I’m was looking for a brown homburg in my size for a while. Itch scratched...not to say I wouldn’t be interested in another brown.

Have you noticed whether the Air-Vac offers any cooling? I get the impression that mine does, but I'm not sure if that just a kind of placebo effect.

It’s hard for me to tell if it offers any cooling. Might have something to do with my breaking out into a sweat whenever I look at it.

I say we get a few into a wind tunnel and start gathering data. For research purposes and normalizing the data collection, they should all be the same size, say...7 1/4.

I have been neglecting posting my MacLachlans here. I just read the whole thread and realized I may have stumbled into a rare one. The color in the seller's pics seems similar to rlk's Scottish Cream MacLachlan. I hope it is even lighter than the pics show. It might be the reddish tone is due to the background. [emoji5]
