Cross-posted from the Cap Faction thread in the hope of getting a response.
I've got a question for our cap makers.
I recently acquired a Harris Tweed cap with a liner in need of replacement. The seller provided full disclosure about the status of the cap, but I thought it would be easy to find material to replace the liner. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a similar material anywhere.
Any ideas for the type of material consistent with the original liner that I might be able to source locally rather than online? I won't insist on a perfect match, and have even considered a different color liner entirely. I just want to be able to re-sew the label onto the liner to keep the Harris Tweed 'provenance' intact, even if the liner isn't original.
Thanks!
