LEXOL okay on Akubra sweat bands?

I just bought a charcoal Banjo Paterson and it's already my favorite hat. I love it so much I want a spare to put in storage. I plan to store it with a hat jack but is it okay to use LEXOl leather conditioner on the "reeded roan sweat band?"

I use it on leather sweats, but only if they are dry and in need. If you aren't storing it long term, and aren't in an arid climate, I wouldn't worry about it.

Actually, I DO plan to store it long-term and I live in the desert southwest. It is pretty dry most of the year except for an extremely humid rainy season.

I wonder if they make one with mold and mildew protection for that rainy season...where I live it's usually not hot or too humid (except this past summer), so I use the stuff for rehydrating old dry bands, but as a preventative measure in the desert I'd say it couldn't hurt.
