Hi all, first time poster but lots of eBay feedback under Superfurryrat if you need reassuring. Couple of jackets and some Chippewa Engineer boots up today.
Pristine ‘70s Lewis Leathers Super Monza
First up is this vintage Lewis in perfect condition.
Its a size 40 in dark navy/midnight blue (reads as black under certain light but with a bit more character - last picture is probably the truest) with original CLIX zippers.
For those that don’t know, the Super Monza is basically the same as the Monza but cut a bit longer for added protection at the back.
Absolutely perfect condition. Purchased on eBay from the original owner who'd bought it when he was 17 in the 70s but sadly it's just a little too tight for me.
Original owner looked after it well - all zips and poppers work smoothly and the leather is buttery soft and nicely broken in, no stains, rips, marks or tears. Very comfortable leather.
Inside is also great with the original label barely worn and the red quilted lining still very bright.
Measurements (done the Iron Heart way): https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2834.0:
Shoulder: 54cm / 21 inches
Length: 68cm / 26.5 inches
Chest: 100cm / 40 inches
Waist: 94cm / 37 inches
Opening: 97cm / 38 inches
Arm: 62cm / 24.5 inches
Perfect example of an original '70s Lewis.
Price: £350
Hydra Burgundy Horsehide A2, Size Large (fits Medium)
Bought off the Fuk forum a while ago - not much information on this brand online but essentially a (good) Chinese copy of a Visvim Elmendorf, which is just a trimmer A2 done by a company called Hydra. Retailed for £400 at the time.
Quality is incredible for the price, Riri zippers, very thick and heavy 1.4mm US horsehide, lined with linen and finished with wool knit cuffs and pocket lining. Leather still has its stiffness to it and a nice slightly waxed finish. Only slight bobbling on knitted parts, otherwise in excellent condition.
Official blurb and measurements below (would say it fits a medium/small-medium comfortably).
Info

Chippewa 7” Engineer Boots (US9 - nearly new)
Bought these from American Classics in London but never got a long with them - worn 3/4 times at most.
I’m a UK9/US10 in trainers and US9 in White’s Boots and these fit me well.
Blurb here, these are the shorter 7” high versions:
Chippewas offer their Engineer in low 7" version, still featuring all the details as the 11"; in a full grain leather and with a plain toe all the other design features have been recreated as well, with buckle fastenings stacked heel and welted construction these boots will last a lifetime and form to the shape of your foot for supreme comfort and age beautifully
Key features :
I’m in London if anyone wants to collect otherwise delivery will be £10 (boots a bit more) in the UK and we can work out what it’ll be internationally if anyone’s interested.
