What is the exact name for the type of hat worn by Larry Tate on Bewitched? I know that it is some kind of fedora, yet it does not appear to have the "typical fedora look". It is a bit more rounded.

Yep, what JLee said - a modern equivalent (and maybe the exact same hat) is the Stetson Saxon, which has a 2" stingy underwelt brim, center dent crease, and comes in a bunch of colors. This hat has been in production for 50 years at least, which is saying something:
