Hello all,
I am new on this forum and have been gleaning lots of info through searching. I appreciate the varied and really unique looks Ive seen in here. Plenty of stuff Ive never seen anywhere else.
Anyhow, on to my quest. I am trying to find a nice pair of boots. I usually wear jeans or canvas pants and Im looking for a good looking, but still daily-wearable boot in some kind of brown or reddish color. Ive read through lots of threads, seen lots of photos and have come to like the White's semi dress a lot, as well as the Redwing Beckmans and the 1000-milers.
The boots that really catch my eye as just outstandingly beautiful are ones made by Julian Boots. I havent seen anything else that just has that look to them. Problem is, I have no idea how much these things cost, or how they hold up to daily wear.
Has anyone here owned or had any experience with those boots, or with the ordering experience? Is it one of those things where if you have to ask you cant afford them?
Thanks, Colin

Hi,

Why don't you try and contact them via the website contact form?

They appear to be a small boot company (low-volume, made-to-order) and chances are haven't been around for that long.

I've seen the website before and yes they are nice! However, I get the feeling that these are custom-made boots so chances are they're going to be more expensive than Red Wing, Wolverines, or White's (I am guessing here).

If you're after the exclusivity, the one-of-a-kind look that no other boot manufacturers have, then be prepared to pay top money for it.

However, IMO, some of their boots look very similar to those of Wesco, or White's... To some extent you can also customise White's boots (hides, colour, height, soles, etc.)

I agree that some of them are direct knock-offs of some other models (saw an exact semi-dress replica there).
I did try the email form but got no reply.
Given what they probably cost, that may be for the best.
