Ju-52 crash in the Swiss Alps

A Ju 52 went down Saturday Aug, 4 2018 on the Piz Segnas mountain above the Swiss Alpine resort of Flims, striking the mountain's western flank about 8,330 feet above sea level. All 20 people on board were killed, police said Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018.

Tragic. This story is getting a lot of coverage in Vienna. Among the passengers was an Austrian couple and their adult son. Very sad, my condolences to the families of all the victims. Apparently the company that runs the flights has more than one JU-52 in their fleet. On the news they were showing footage of what, I guess, is the other aircraft. Certainly a beautiful plane. When I first saw it I thought “Ford Trimotor.” My mistake.
