I said "never again" to a woolie, but hope springs eternal ~and so on...
I also need an outdoor crushable/packable for work. Something I don't have to baby & can put away in a bag & TCB, once I am
where I am going-ya' know?

Anyone have one of these? Anything you can tell me?

If you're ever in Johnson, VT it's worth a stop at the mill, they have a store at the mill.

Cool, I'd love to. I am a Hudson's Bay man myself tho', or Pendleton.

The ribbon treatment looks very authentic, like they did it in the 18th century: Just tie a knot and be done with it.

That is what I thought, very working man/blue collar/Tom Joad vibe. Utilitarian, eh?

These have been around for a long time as hunting/outdoors hats. Not a whole lot has changed about them.
You don't see a whole lot of the older ones for the same reason you don't see many other old wool felt hats.
