Cool collaboration with three heavyweights of the vintage repro world; a limited edition sneaker which helps the victims of the March 2011 Great Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

These sneakers are kiln-vulcanized Moonstar sneakers in a 10.5oz Amoskeag reproduction denim, on a Lofgren Champion last in a D width ( which runs a little long in length.) There is reinforced stitching and Japanese made eyelets with sneaker manufactured exclusively in Japan.
The Amoskeag Manufacturing Company of Manchester, New Hampshire was at one point the largest textile producer in the world, and its denim went into Levi's earliest workwear in the nineteenth century. The uppers of these sneakers are cut from a 10.5oz indigo denim milled in Japan to reproduce that 1800s Amoskeag cloth, a denim that will crease and fade with wear similar to a pair of jeans, resulting in a unique look.
I normally wear a 9.5 in Lofgren sneakers with slightly wide feet, but my size was sold out, so I took a chance and these were just a little too narrow for me. I think they would be perfect for a regular or narrow 9.5, regular 9 or a wide 8.5. Worn twice inside and in fantastic shape. Sold out and hard to locate except on Lofgren website for $290 (with shipping, excluding tariff.) I paid $260 (inclusive) on Redcast Heritage.
