I'm not doing suits anymore now that my attention is heavily elsewhere, but I do still have them made. I'm an off shape... hard to find off the rack, you know!

So here is the suit I had made up. Loved the look of Jimmy Stuart in Rope. A great Hitchcock movie from 1947. I was just mesmerized by the fit of that 3 button 3 piece with peak lapels.

Cool!
I have always loved Mr Stewart.

I hate spell check... most times.

As always, you're looking a million bucks there, Matt. Mr Stewart's screen wardrobe is indeed one worth emulating. I have some plans for some 3-piece suits myself this year. I have the fabric, now I just need to scrape together the dough to have them made ready for Autumn.

I'm still in awe of the suit you designed and had made that I had the privilege of seeing in person in LA a few years back. It was stylistically and in terms of quality and construction period perfect.

Yes, all the suits in thatfilm are indeed beautiful. I particularly enjoyed how the wardrobe was used to suggst something about the characters. With the Leopold/Loeb (I forget the names they gave them in this fictionalised version) pair, the dominant partner by far is in the big, butch-looking DB, whiile the sb affair gives the weaker of the two the air of being slighter, less alpha-male. Of course, then there's Jimmy Stewart who subverts this with his quiet authority that ultimately makes him the dominant male of the piece.

I'd love the apartment from the film too!

Matt it seems to me that the lapel width for the 3 button peak lapel 30s suits are a little less than those on the two-button suits. What width are your lapels?

Wow, looking great there Mr. Deckard. And thanks for everything you are currently doing with the hats at Stetson. You are a blessing to everyone!
