Guys
I have two Aero Highwayman front quarter horsehide jackets (one in brown with a plaid lining and one in black with a grey wool lining). Both size 38 but they are really more like a real size 40 (or even a fitted size 42). Both have been hanging in my closet for years - they recently moved with us from Chicago to Miami and if I didn't wear them in Chicago there's no way I'm wearing them in Miami.
I plan to list them separately on eBay tomorrow (Sunday 1/24) but I figured I would offer them to the FL members since you folks got me interested in this world (you can decide if that means I'm expressing thanks or looking for vengeance...).
Both jackets are 10ish years old (meaning they are from a more tumultuous time in Aero history which will probably mean something to many of you that remember the "troubles"). The brown one was further modified by Allen at Johnson Leathers in SF (removing cumbersome liner pockets that were starting to leave marks on the outside leather) and appears to be dirty (far dirtier than I remember). Neither has been exposed to smoke, both have lived with a yellow Labrador retriever.
Black jacket measurements (laid flat, all approximate):
Pit-to-pit 21.5 inches
Shoulder 18.5 inches
Back 25.5 inches
Sleeve 25.25 inches
Brown jacket measurements (laid flat, all approximate):
Pit-to-pit 21 inches
Shoulder 18 inches
Back 25.75 inches
Sleeve 25 inches
I have a number of pics but I have been unable to upload any so obviously ask for some if you are interested (or better yet let me know how to upload from an Apple device). I'm asking $250 net to me for both jackets (buyer is paying for shipping, fees, etc.). I'm not interested in selling them separately here. I figure that this represents a good deal for someone. If not, I'll list them on eBay tomorrow and see what happens.
