Interest Check – Lucchese Black Ostrich Boots Size 9D

I have a pair of Lucchese Black Ostrich pointed toe cowboy boots in size 9D. These boots have been in my closet for a long, long time (covered with appropriate shoe/boot trees). Purchased at Alcala’s Western Wear in Chicago 25+ years ago, the boots have seen very little use.


I plan to list on the boots on eBay but I am offering them here first.


Boots are a little more than 14 inches tall and look to be on a 2-inch heel. There is some damage to the leather of each toe. Extremely well made with closed stitch soles, these were (very) expensive back in the day.


As it was explained to me by the folks at Alcala’s, they were a custom order for a customer that put 50% down and never came back to buy them when they arrived. True? Who knows? But at $50 net to me (buyer pays for shipping, fees, etc.) I’m pretty sure a boot guy will be getting an excellent deal. No box but they will ship with a pair of knit Lucchese boot sleeves, a black nylon Lucchese branded boot carrier/case and the pair of shoe/boot trees.

Yes they are! And while that neighborhood generally has changed those particular blocks of Chicago Ave are still a little gritty. I still remember the first (and only) time I went into Alliance Poultry ("Pollos Vivos"), the live chicken store across the street where you pick out the bird you want for dinner and they kill and prep it for you.
