Inkwell Question

A few years ago there was a great thread on Inkwells. I know I posted one of mine that I'd love to find more information on. But all I know is it is stamped on the hinge Patented Aug 8 88. Any ideas from anyone on this?

I'm a member of the FPN. You have a beautiful piece there, but I don't know if I can tell you anything about it. Best ask on the Network. Try the Pen & Paper paraphernalia board on the main forum, that's where we discuss desk-accessories and such (inkwells included).

Well, I didn't get any responses at the FPN. But I guess no one knew much about it. I've not ever seen anything like it, in any search on line, but it has to be a fairly common one I'd think..
