I have a couple video files from Ticket to the Twenties that I'd like to make available online to anyone who wishes to see them. I also want to email one of them, but AOL doesn't allow file transfers larger than 16mb. The file I wish to transfer is 120mb.

I need your recommendations on where I should go for both posting and emailing video files.

Thank you.

Well, there's YouTube, Dailymotion and Photobucket, but I don't know what's the maximum permissible size. I believe you can keep videos private there, but I'm not so sure about Dailymotion.
Or, you could ask someone here to host them on a website.

My recommendation would be Pando. It's a free program, no spyware/adware or anything like that. You download it, then send someone what's called a "Pando package." It's a small attachment that the other person opens (the other person needs Pando as well), and when they open the Pando package they can download the file. The package does expire, but I think it's good for something like ten days. I've used it to both send and receieve large video files, and haven't had much of a problem on either end.

There are also some sites that will allow you to upload files and share (i.e., it creates a unique page that others can download the file from). The only one of those I've used is Megaupload. I think you can use it for free (with certain limitations), but you'd have to read the small print.

Google works best for me. On YouTube, you can only upload up to 9 minutes of video, while Google, it seems pretty unlimited, and you have the option of the clip being private, something YouTube does not have. On YouTube you need to give permission of some sorts for others to see the video. All you need to do is sign up.

You won't have much luck with emailing a file that large, but you can host it on a website, and unless it is not compressed, you're better off just emailing them a link.

Thank you, guys. I'll try these suggestions until I find one that works. (Photobucket allows you to upload up to two minutes. The video in question is two mnutes and two seconds.)

I have another question: Without thinking, yesterday, I made two videos in the vertical format. Is there any way to rotate them so that the subjects aren't dancing on their sides? I used a Nikon Coolpix L11 point-and-shoot, and the instruction manual doesn't cover this.

Thank you again.
