Chicago Suits Catalog

Matt,

I assume, then, that you have taken it to a tailor and have had them make one for you? If you have, that's awsome.

How much would one of those suits cost now days?

I used to do exactly that. I had all my suits made here:

Bhambi's Custom Tailors
14 E. 60th ST.
New York, NY 10022
Phone: (212) 935-5379

about ten years ago.

You go in. You pick out the fabric. Yes I want cuffs. Working button holes. Suspender buttons, not belt loops. A high rise. Broad shoulders. Nipped in at the waist. You want a vest? Sure! How bout a single breasted suit with peaked lapels? You know it!

Too bad I don't fit into them anymore!

Back to the gym for me!

Good stuff for sure! That's what I would do if I had the cash.

I would have belt loops though. I like to have a choice wither I have braces or a belt. Never want the same thing every day. I like bets and braces. Belts were worn a lot in the 30's and 40's.

Wiseguy...

...you should sell me the suits you can't wear anymore!

And that catalog...it's sort of painful how great suits looked back then.

I think they looked better then the real thing did even then! Paintings have a way of selling the product better I think.

But, vintage still looks swell and much better then what is made today!
