How to water proof a linen hat ?

hello,

i have a small question for all the experts around here.

I got that hat a couple weeks ago. It made of linen.
Oh it's not an expensive one but I really like it and I don't want to ruin it
More precisely, it's this one.

Now, because right now the weather in my city is rotating between rain and sunshine, I don't wear it because I'm afraid the water might alter its shape / size or ruin the fabric.

From what I understand linen can do well with the rain but I have this spray I use for my shoes to water proof them.

Do you think i can use that for my hat ?
