I cut my hair the other day (so grateful for that simplified middy cutting tutorial! I've been doing it a much harder way before without getting better results, really), and got a bit trigger happy with my front hair. I usually set my hair in pin curls to get a pageboy with a distinct wave, with rows of curls in alternating directions from a deep side part, but my front hair is now cut at a sharp slant, with the bangs about 4" and a little too short to lie neatly in the usual wave pattern. Now seems like an excellent time to try out some different ways to do the front, in other words, I'm in a style rut anyway with my perennial sideswept waves.
So how do you style your front hair, and how would you style a shorter front section on an otherwise shoulderlength u-shaped middy? I'm used to doing pin curl sets and very willing to try out different setting patterns, but I'm low on ideas, and my hair seems to want to go in its usual direction even if I do different sets, stand-up curls etc. I have never experimented very much with this, and I'd love to see how you ladies do it!
