How do you order Waldes zippers?

I remember Thurston mentioning the Waldes hardware as an upgrade from the standard Talon. Could be very wrong.

Waldes makes great zippers! Better working than new Talons and better looking than RiRi. (Although if you can get past the looks, RiRi are excellent zippers).
You could look into YKK’s “Old American” line as well.

My experience with Waldes comes from two heavy CXL Aero jackets and based on that I will avoid them at all costs. To be fair, the size of the zipper (too small) probably played as a big a role as anything. I do agree that they are among the nicest looking reproduction zippers around.

Yeah, I would go with a RiRi #8 for heavier leathers.

That's probably the case, The Waldes #10 seems very sturdy and would most likely easily handle heavy leathers

As far as I know, Waldes only sells in quantity, not single-piece orders, but things may have changed.

Thanks for the replies! I was interested in installing their lightning style zipper on an old Irvin. I like RiRi's a lot and have an Eastman Irvin but again, those aren't available for a single order either i suppose.

You CAN find RiRi zippers pretty easily. They even sell them on Amazon.
