@Scooterz I’ll let Panos speak for himself, but currently I’m the only one here that I’m aware of who has a flecked fur hat (I think @belfastboy might have a felt?). It is a very coarse finish with the longer hairs tangled and going in all directions. I took a pretty stiff nylon clothes brush to it and got all the hairs to orientate in the same direction. It took away the frizzy look.

Mr. P is a kind and generous guy and I wish him well, but unless his customer service issues get figured out I’m not ordering from him again. I’m curious on how long it will take him to respond to your inquiry through Amazon.

I am afraid I can't be of much help regarding the color names, more than color I care for felt and most of the times I've ordered was in person. What I liked the best was the hare felts from Husst in all finishes but I think those are not available any more. From the current rabbit ones I like the suede (antelope) and the melousine the most. I think Brent has one of those along with several suede and std smooth finishes so can say more. The flecked I've seen only raw felts and seemed coarse and hairy, never seen a finished hat though, but you've heard Brent :) Nice colors though. These are also quite subjective since are just my opinions. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I have a shipment set to arrive any day now and in it is a Carmel colour as well as the Loden. The colours on my monitor vary seldom match at all the actual felt. I just order and hope for the best. I have a grey heather rabbit felt made up by BlackSheep and it is not what I would call fuzzy but it definitely has hairs sticking up. The heather has an overall colour but is a melange of many different colours. I have the one from BlackSheep in grey and one in Peanut and another yet to be made in a grey. I like them as they are definitely different than your usual rabbit felt. I have seen pretty much all the colours in his men's offering, I like the colours but just be prepared for them to be different in person than on the swatch card on your computer.

I had to register a complaint through ETSY before I could get him to respond to NOT an inquiry but a damn order of multiple felts. I have since found a Tonak supplier out of New York city and my next order will be with him. He offers a 165gr dress weight and he guarantees a 4"brim and just under 6" on the open crown. A little more expensive than Agnoulita but a lot closer to home.

This makes me sad, but it’s not a surprise. Mr. P’s customer service is a huge disappointment. I don’t understand why he doesn’t hire someone to answer emails etc.

I have high hopes for those Millinery Warehouse suede finished felts working out. The unfinished dimensions mean there should be plenty of felt for my preferred dimensions and the color offerings are expanding.

My first inquiry fell on deaf ears and he blamed it on a new employee hired to do customer service. My second order was screwed up and he blamed it on a new shipper. My third order I could not get a response without lodging the complaint with Etsy. Mr P responded with a free felt and free shipping.....a very nice gesture but damn I just want normal customer service.

He has been very generous to me. He’s even called me a couple of times and we had great conversations. He made offers that shocked me in their excessiveness. I really like him as a person, and I want him to be successful, but....

This is so sad to hear. Despite our love and admiration for vintage/antique hats, we all really want new hatmakers to thrive and survive. That is, as long as they're wears are up to standard.

I've drooled over Brent's and Panos' Agnoulitas, and was therefore so happy to pick up no less than two from Panos. They are two wonderful, modern, vintage looking hats, and I couldn't be happier with them. I believe Panos was too, and he was the one who originally ordered them.

There is though a down side to the buying of bespoke hats via the internet. Nothing can beat being able to try on a hat before buying, nor being able to see and feel the colour and felt in person.

Let's all hope Mr. P can up his game in these difficult times.

Yes, it is frustrating. I am not expecting or asking for anything extraordinary just standard business practice of answering easy questions in a timely manor so that I can answer my clients questions. But being left out on a limb for weeks with no response is not acceptable.

Yes I looked at yours and it does seem quite long haired compared to any of the other pics I can find of flecked hats like the Storyteller. That one looks like a little long hair but not the same as yours. I was trying to figure out which way they tended to look. How is yours in terms of weight of the felt and malleable the crown and or brim is? Is it similar to the dress hats or closer to a western?

I just realized I never posted this hat here. It’s a dark brown rabbit fur felt with a slightly longer nap.

Do you remember what felt and color this hat is? How about ribbon and binding colors?

I did get a response from Mr. P on Amazon about a couple of questions on details on a hat. Took less than 3 days.
My questions
"The Phoenix, Brand: Agnoulita Hats
Does the crown height describe the open crown height or the creased height at the pinch? Does "none" on the crown height custom option mean open crown? Any thin 3/8" or 5/8" ribbon option? Thank you."
His response: "Hello! Thank you for your questions! Crown height refers to your hat's crown's highest point after I crease it and shape it. Selecting None means you are going for the style as we present it in the photos. I will be happy to ship it with an open crown as well. It is your call. Please note that we have recently changed our price list on Amazon. You are welcome to place your order, and I will refund you for the extra cost as soon as we ship your order. Yours, Mr. P. PS. Both ribbon widths are available, all colors."

Here are two pics of the Peanut coloured heather felt from Agnoulita. You can see the hairs but I would not consider it exceptionally long and furry.

Thanks that helps a lot. What color ribbons are those brown and iron gray? I don't mind the slight roughness, especially if I make it a woods hat, but do not really want a fuzzy hat. On my monitor that peanut looks pretty close to a Winchester pecan. I would love to see a real photo of the coffee color as it looks similar but maybe has a little more colored flecks in it, but who can tell from the swatch.

The coffee is the one of few I have not seen in person. Both ribbons are brown...the darker one is a dark chocolate brown, the lighter is a pecan. The peanut is somewhat different but yes closer to a Winchester Pecan. I traded the hat to TheOldFashioned and he may have better pics...more close ups of the felt.

Are you selling hats now? Have you seen a Stetson corhill strat? Wondering how close the suede carmel felt is. It looks really close in some of Brent's photos.

Yes, I have hung out my shingle as a hatter. I just received a Carmel Tonak from Agnoulita today. It is a nice colour unlike anything in Winchester. Probably closest to a Sahara or Sunset in Winchester. It is a very light summer colour. Never have seen a Cornhill to compare. Not sure what size you are but all the felts received today are small so,if you order be cautious..

Definitely has a flecked/heathered appearance and texture, but I wouldn't call it longhair per se. I liked it this way as is so I asked for no additional pouncing. I wanted something different from the other hats in my collection and I'm very happy with the end product.
