Himel x Hollywood Trading Co. Vintage-style D-Pocket (42), American "Dark Oak" Steerhide, Custom HTC Nickel Hardware. Tons of cool little details. Here's what Himel (Parker, I believe) had to say about it when I asked for details:
"American chrome steer. The design is one of the more historically accurate pieces in our catalogue, though there are some small exaggerations that are classically Himelian: especially to be noted is the completely curved and organic collar shape.
You can see immediately that the d-pocket is shaped to fit a handgun. This is a feature directly descended from turn of the century aviator jackets. The smaller pocket overlaid would be used for tobacco.
The liner is Stewart Tartan, I think, which has some intensely Canadian significance that Dave knows more about than I do.
It’s a lovely piece. Rare Himel! I don’t think there are more than a handful of these worldwide. "
Unfortunately, it just does not fit the way I want it to. It's just too bulky in certain areas; probably due to my silly big-shoulders small-chest climber build. If anyone wants a really awesome, unique piece in a great leather, it's here for the taking. I've only worn it out once, previous owner said he didn't wear it much at all. Miniscule storage scuffs. It's a beautiful jacket, and I wish it fit me. Here are some pics, as well as a fit pic with me in it. Looking for $1200 shipped, but willing to negotiate down.
Chest 21.5
Shoulder 18.5
Hem 20
Sleeve Length (Straight) 25.5
Back length (Bottom of collar) 23.75
Next is a Vintage TT Leathers Crosszip (38). YKK zips. Not much info here as I got it second hand, but it has an awesome vintage/short style fit in a pretty hefty leather. There's a small tear in the lining next to the inside pocket that I fixed up, but could be patched better. Looking for $80 shipped.
Chest 20.5
Shoulder 20.5
Hem 18.5
Sleeve Length 23.5
Back length (Bottom of collar) 22.75
Last is a Vintage (?) Schott Bros Navy Suede Perfecto Button-up (40, fits more like a 42 imo). It's a really unique piece and pretty hefty, especially with the zip-out liner. I thought this thing was real cool, but it again does not fit me as well as I'd hoped. I got it second-hand as well so I don't have too many details. It's in perfect condition, however! $150 for this one.
Chest 23
Shoulder 18.5
Hem 20.5
Sleeve Length (Straight) 26
Back length (Bottom of collar) 24.5
