Help with {date or identify} a hat please.....!

It's a Lock & Co hat (Dave was a big fan, or rather his fashion designer/style consultant was)) but as to which model, you'll have to do your own research. Those photos date from 2017 so it could be that particular model has been discontuned.
The Beckhams rarely wore the same outfits twice in public so this particular hat, although it looks used, was probably new & only worn on that event.

Well worth looking into Christies, then.... I believe some Lock hats are made by them; in any case, they'll have something similar, though you may have to customise the ribbon.

Thank you everyone for all the help. I have been looking on Ebay and have found some pretty close options. Dobbs appears to be closest to this style so far (from what I've found). I may pursue the custom option too, though. Either way, I appreciate everyones input and guidance. This is a really cool community here.

Good morning everyone,

I'm new to "the hat world" and could really use some assistance identifying this awesome hat given to me by a family friend. They also gave me a pair of leather chaps too! I'm looking to sell and knowing what, exactly, I have is will be helpful when describing it. I know both items were worn for only one summer in 1930. I included a photo of R.H. Martin wearing the hat and chaps while posing on a horse. He was 18 years old when the photo was taken. I would be so grateful for any info y'all are willing to share! I'm needing the hat identified and if anyone has any idea what it's worth. Thank you so much for taking time to read my post and I look forward to hearing back!!

Here is some info I have found so far with my research:
My friend's family back in the 1920's were "well off" and lived a very comfortable life. I found out the "JD" on the chaps is Valley Ranch, (a.k.a. The Lazy JD) located on the South Fork of The Shoshone River outside of Cody, Wyoming. Established in a1913 by Larry Laramie and Winthrop Brooks, (of the Brooks Brothers, NY), Valley was the chosen ranch for the East Coast Elite and was frequented by the likes of Jackie Onassis when she was a young girl, Kitty Carlisle, Rod Serling and Barbara Field Benziger, (Granddaughter of Merchant magnate, Marshall Field).

After the Market crash in 1929, to regain the loss of summer vacationers, the ranch was opened during the winter as an All Boys Prep School. Although he was probably a student at the prep school, but the photo was most likely taken while the family vacationed during the summer at the dude ranch, (no snow in the photo).

No. 1 Quality was the base level quality for these kinds of hats. It's hard to assign a specific model name, because we have incomplete information on the entirety the Stetson line-up.

For example, here is a page from the 1902 dealer catalog (prices listed are per dozen). Note the ascending quality scale from.No. 1 Quality to Real Beaver.

Hat 1108, the Austin looks sort of similar but may have a different crown shape.

If you need further documentation on the brand you should be able to get it from the official Wyoming Registered Brand books covering the time period. Wyoming libraries should have those. I don't have any for Wyoming but found one covering up to 1930 online. A quick search of combinations (Lazy JD, Lazy D, Valley Ranch, etc) produced nothing but it should be registered with a little more digging. The "JD" brands start on page 52 at the link:

The chaps appear to be batwing chaps with the straps crossing behind the leg, as opposed to being shotgun chaps with zippers.

Wow, I never thought to look up cattle branding. But that makes total sense! See, this is why I came to the experts! This is great info. Thank you so much!! I found similar chaps that are batwing, but when you described the back of them I was thrown off. They don't have straps on the back but instead it's all one solid piece that wraps around the leg and it secured with closed hooks(?). I attached some more pics I took showing the back. Sorry for my "simple" descriptions....newbie. They also have full pockets. Would these still be considered Batwing?

Yes, still Batwings.

Dave Shelley was a saddlemaker in Cody until his passing in 1941. Besides saddles he made leather chaps, cuffs, holsters, etc. He sold other cowboy gear out of his shop such as the Stetson hat with his embossing on the sweatband.

The chaps look to be more lightweight than heavy leather, & may have been for more of a dude Ranch or boy's ranch type application. They still may have come thru Dave Shelley but if he made them you should find a his stamp pictured below. Most times on the belt with the belt size; sometimes stamped on the leg panel near the belt. Pockets are just an option.

The only markings I could find were on the belt, next to the buckle. I'm safely assuming it is the size. 33, (see pic). I did see something on the inside of one of the legs an area that looked like it used to have a patch or tag or something, you can see there's still a few pieces of thread, (see pic). I couldn't find any other markings anywhere.

I would agree that stamp appears to be a 33. So the chaps were not likely made by Dave Shelley without his maker's mark. They could have been something he sold thru his shop, or they could have been bought by the ranch via catalog with their ranch brand & then sold to visitors if they were running a dude ranch operation after the crash of 1929. The good part is you have the pic of the same style of chaps being worn on the ranch in 1930.

I would have to see if I can find that mark. I can't make out the letter combinations. There could be the letters S, C, O and B. Also can I see a photo of the entire inside? It might help with dating it. Please follow up post at the link below so there can be additional input.
