Hello,
New here. I was given a hat about 40 years ago by my parents who owned an antique store and knew I loved old hats.
It is a Biltmore, still in the original box. I never wore it and only just found it after storing it at a friends for the past 30 years. TBH I had forgotten all about it. My dilemma is that I want to sell it but I have no idea of it's value, what kind of hat it is or it's age.
I will include pictures of it and the box.
I am interested to know what the style number means, what Col. means and the word written beside it.
Those things are on the outside of the hat box.
The information I know is that it is a Roller hat and the size is 7 3/8, grey green colour.
On the inside of the hat it does say that it is a Royal Biltmore and was hand finished so I am guessing it was made before 1960 as my understanding is that is when they switched to machine finishing? This being in Canada.
I think this group is my last hope for information. I have been researching for quite a while to no avail.
Many thanks!
Christy
