It's been two years since my last hat buying binge in San Francisco and I'm headed back this week to do it again! Wanted to check with you guys and be sure I haven't missed any hat shops in the area.

My A-list includes:
The Hat Guys in Oakland
The Berkley Hat Shop in Berkley
Top Hatters in San Leandro
A couple of seedy little shops in the Mission

Obligatory visits:
Mrs. Dewson's on Filmore... yeah, I know she's flakey!
Paul the Hatter on Geary... yes, he's a bit flakey too! But, he has some awesome Panamas!

I saw a few shops across over in Sausalito that I plan to investigate if time allows. Are there any must-see shops over there? How 'bout out in Silicon Valley?

Am I missing any?

Thanks in advance!

I'm staying for Halloween this time... should be exciting! Woo-Hoo!!!

used to be a place in North Beach; don't know if it's there anymore. Top Hatters in San Leandro is a must. That couple is really nice.

I Left My Hat In San Francisco

I just visited my son who lives within walking distance of the Haight. A couple of vintage clothing stores had a selection of classic fedoras, all in great shape, reasonably priced and even two in a 7 1/2 to include a cherry Open Road.
