Like most people here on the Lounge, I love high quality movies. I love realism and historical accuracy, great acting and a well written script. I love Bogart's best, and Jimmy Stewart's as well, and most of the classics. But tonight I once again watched a deeply flawed movie, and loved it all over again.
I enjoyed, for the first time in a long time, Legends of the Fall. I can't justify it other than I love the undercurrents, the mood, the music, the mountain scenery, the overall flavor of it. I enjoy Brad Pitt's character, the conflicts between the dad and his sons, and I'm in love with Julia Ormond. I love the way it ends, so satisfying to me, being the eccentric I am.
Do any of you have a guilty pleasure of a movie you may be embarrassed to admit?
