That was a great suit. I hoped against hope that noone would want it (yeah, right!) and i could get 'er cheap. I'm not a great fan of the belt back, but that one is wonderful. The fabric i would kill for.

I was sure fujiyama would get it. It wasn't to be, it seems.

I had this suit on my ebay watchlist when it was first listed, no way could I afford it, but it is a excellent suit.

If you think of it as a suit purchase first and vintage second that price isn't bad. You'd maybe pay more for a modern suit and get so much less. Someone made out pretty well I'd say.:eusa_clap

It is pricey when I consider the price and the size. You can find that size all day long on OFAS. The belted back makes it rare but the size limits the audience by plenty.
Looks like the winner just wanted a suit by the bidding record. [huh] More power to him.

Ahh, you got that 'un. That seller's 4 suits went round twice. The first time, with a day to go they mainly had no bids at $9.99 and the seller stopped the auctions (error in the listing ). Better prices second time around, no?

At least i think it was those suits. If not, i'm wrong ... obviously ...

The price went so high because suits of this era, of this style and of this - almost unheard-of - quality are very highly sought after in Japan. (And amongst the smaller denizens of the US/Euro vintage community, nat'rally.)

It's the photos that make me think it's the same auctions: The same waistcoat in jacket with trousers on top presentation. There can't be two sellers who do it just like that, can there?

It wouldn't have mattered if ye'd bid, anyway. They were ended even if they did have bids. They were up in July or something. I was going to bid to sell around now if they were going cheap
