Thought I'd offer this here first. If no one snaps it up I'll put it in the 'bay in a few days.
If you're a brim-up kinda' guy who wears a 7-1/4, you could hardly do better than this Dobbs. I'm guessing it to be a '60s era lid. Flawless olive green felt with a snazzy navy blue and pinstripe ribbon, bow, edge binding combination. Leather sweatband is also in olive green and the clean satin lining is what I call 'rootbeer' for lack of a better color term. They really threw it all at this one!
Crown measures 4-3/4"h when creased as shown. Brim is 1-7/8". Inside circ. 22-1/2".
$50 shipped in U.S. in a regular mailing carton. For $60, I'll get up to the attic and pull a Dobbs hexagonal black and yellow hat box. The extra ten-spot is for addt'l shipping cost for oversized carton in which to mail the whole she-bang.
I've been keeping the hat in a sealed plastic bag inside a trunk. I can't vouch that a fifty plus year old hat has never been exposed to smoke or pets, but it sure seems clean and funk free to me.
