Great Large WWII Pic, lots of detail

Spotted this pic on Flickr and loved it. Figured I'd share with you all. Great detail on the A2s. If you do a view image on it, it blows up pretty big.

Two of the guys (back row far left and third from right) are wearing seal brown Dubows with purple knits just like mine. Amazing. Thanks for the picture. She's a beaut!

That is the crew of "The Goon," a B-24 in the CBI that was shot down in December 1943. I actually have the model of this plane.

BTW, if you haven't, try the book "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand. Fantastic read. Lots of B24 goodness.

Is that an Aero I see? The guy on the far left, standing, with flipped brim--are those rust-colored knits? If they are, that would the first color photographic evidence of an Aero being worn in war-time, that I've seen, at least.

I thought it was a Dubow. Maybe an A-2 expert can chime in.

I think it is a Roughwear. The pocket flaps and the collar sure looks like a RW 27752. I'm no expert, just a guess.

Looking at just the guy standing up at the far left with purple knits, the collar is laying too low for a collar stand, and all Roughwear's had a collar stand.
