Good evening,
I'm new around here, only been watching this forum for some weeks, but finally it's time for my first thread :)
I'm wondering what the typical spirits (Cognac, Whisky?) and liqueurs (Grand Marnier?) of our beloved Golden Era are? I'm planning some new aquirations for my house bar and just wanted to make sure they'll be period-correct

I'm not sure which period you're talking about exactly. But it may not hurt to have a little Absinthe handy.

As soon as you tell me what "aquirations" are, I'll suggest one or two. ;)

A little bit of Laphroaig always helps to create new and interesting words, didn't you know? Let's just say I want to buy some new bottles... :cheers1:

I would be especially interested in what people did drink from the beginning of the century to the 40s.

Thank you for the interesting links, especially the first one was really informative!

I still wonder what the typical gentleman had at hand to offer his guests? Shisky? Cognac? Gin? Any "must have" liqueurs?
