Offered for sale is this beautiful vintage 1980s Aero Highwayman in chocolate brown Connolly Steerhide.

Labeled size 38 (fits like a 38-40)

Measurements:

Pit to Pit: 22 in / 55.88 cm
Shoulders: 17.5 in / 44.45 cm
Back Length: 24.5 in / 62.23 cm
Sleeves: 25 in / 63.5 cm (around curve)
Bottom Hem Width: 20 in / 50.8 cm (adjustable)

For reference: I am 5ft 10.5in tall and weigh 162 lbs.

Holly says that there were only a couple of people working for Aero at the time, and it was probably made by Ken as a one-off piece. Check out the stitch-work!

I’ve never seen an Aero in this color of Connolly, and it looks and feels like a vintage jacket from the 40s or 50s.

It is lined (body/ sleeves/ and pockets) in red checked flannel which feels like a well-loved shirt.

There is some damage to the bottom edge of the lining where the side adjusters tighten (see the photos).

The Connolly hide is something special! I’ve owned a few Aero jackets, and this one has my favorite leather by far. It’s a real shame they don’t make them out of this anymore.

Nice jacket Mike: the only difference between your jacket and mine that I see besides the color and size is my jacket has a band at the helm. Ken showed it on the forum he used to host before he first retired from active managing Aero Leathers. If I remember correctly he described it as a zip sleeve highwayman. My jacket is tagged 44. I feel it fits like a sung 42.
